1. About BookDrop
BookDrop is a trading name operated by Rebeca Vargas, based in Costa Rica, at Ruta Nacional Treciaria 310, San José, Santa Ana, 10906. In these terms, “BookDrop,” “we,” and “us” refer to that operator. Contact us at bookdropshop@gmail.com.
These terms apply to accounts and purchases at bookdrop.shop. Please read them before creating an account or placing an order. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or purchase from BookDrop. The service is intended for adults, and some collections may contain mature content.
A BookDrop account is required to purchase and access your orders. Provide accurate information, keep your login details private, and contact us if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.
3. Our digital collections
We sell downloadable audiobooks, eBooks, and specialty digital collections. No physical items are shipped. Consult each product description for its contents, formats, and any specific requirements before purchasing.
You will need an internet connection, sufficient storage, and compatible software or apps to download and use the files. Large collections may require additional download time and storage. Contact us if you need assistance.
4. Prices and payments
Prices are in U.S. dollars. Any applicable charges collected by BookDrop will be disclosed before payment. Your bank or payment provider may apply currency-conversion or other charges under its own terms.
Payments are processed through PayPal. Credit or debit card payment may be available through PayPal, depending on the options offered to you at checkout. BookDrop does not receive or store your full card number or card security code. We receive order and payment information needed to confirm and manage your purchase.
Purchases are one-time payments. We do not charge recurring membership or subscription fees.
5. Delivery and continued access
After payment is confirmed, download links are provided by email and through your BookDrop account. Files are delivered through Google Drive. If you cannot find or open your links, contact bookdropshop@gmail.com with your order details.
We do not set an expiry date on access to your purchased collections. You may keep your downloaded files for personal use. We recommend saving a backup of your downloads.
Occasional maintenance or third-party service interruptions may temporarily affect access. Contact us if a link stops working so we can help restore access or provide another appropriate remedy. This does not limit your refund or statutory rights.
6. 30-day, no-questions-asked refunds
You may request a full refund within 30 calendar days of purchase, for any reason. Email bookdropshop@gmail.com with your order number or the email address used for your purchase. You do not need to explain why you want the refund, and downloading the files does not remove this guarantee.
Refunds requested within this period are returned through PayPal to the original payment method. The time taken for funds to appear depends on PayPal and your payment provider. We may need enough information to locate and verify the purchase, but we do not require a reason for the refund.
Following a full refund, access to the refunded collection may be removed. Any license granted by BookDrop for licensed files in that collection ends, and you should delete those files and copies. This does not remove rights you independently hold in public-domain material.
This guarantee is additional to any mandatory rights or remedies available under applicable law.
7. Permitted use and content rights
Our collections include licensed and public-domain material. Buying a collection does not transfer ownership of copyright to you.
BookDrop supplies collections for your personal use. You must not resell, redistribute, upload for public access, or share the supplied collection files or private download links with others. You may make personal backup copies and use the files on your own compatible devices.
We do not claim copyright in public-domain works themselves. These terms do not restrict rights that applicable law independently gives you in those works. Recordings, translations, editions, and other added material may have separate rights even where the underlying work is public domain. Copyright status can also differ by country.
For a rights-related concern, email us with the collection name, relevant link, and details of the concern.
8. Collection suggestions
You may suggest authors or collections you would like us to feature. A suggestion is not an order and does not guarantee that we will source, produce, or offer the requested content.
9. Service use and account restrictions
Do not misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt its operation, commit payment fraud, or distribute other customers' information. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address such misuse, with notice and an opportunity to contact us where appropriate. Restrictions do not eliminate mandatory consumer rights or valid refund claims.
10. Responsibility and applicable law
We will take reasonable care in providing the service and addressing problems with purchases. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of third-party services, but this does not remove our obligations to customers.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Costa Rican law governs these terms, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections or access to courts available under applicable law in their country of residence.
11. Updates and contact
We may update these terms for future use of the service and future purchases. The effective date will identify the current version. Changes will not retroactively reduce rights attached to completed purchases without a lawful basis and any agreement required by law.
